Biography: Mavi Phillips

A multi-talented creative, Phillips's work focuses on sociopolitical topics and the female perspective through a vast range of mediums, from freelance commercial work, independent documentaries, narrative films, and artist videos, often mixing multiple genres, to cinema events and curations, to conceptual performance art and painting.

Several years dedicated to producing her own projects, she has produced these films in France, Morocco, Hungary, Italy, and the USA. Currently based in Brooklyn, she’s an autonomous filmmaker who writes, directs, edits, and produces her own films and collaborates on commissioned content.
